Divergent Spellcasting
#1
"This skill allows a Player Character to learn and cast one spell from a specialized School of Magic without actually becoming a Specialist of that School. A Player Character can learn one spell per purchase of the skill, with a maximum of five purchases. All of the spells must be from the same School of Magic. The spells cannot be changed once chosen. If necessary, the Player Character must acquire and learn the spells. The usual progression of Spell Levels must be followed, but the Schools are irrelevant in this case."

So is this saying that when I buy a spell using Divergent spell casting my character now has the ability to buy that spell unlimited?
example:
Divergent Spellcasting into Grip of Ice, I can now buy it 5 times if I choose to
Divergent Spellcasting into Icicle, I can buy once if I choose
Divergent Spellcasting into Shatter Shield, I can buy 8 times if I want to.

then I can buy 2 more spells with Divergent Spellcasting if I want to.

is this how it works?

I believe that's how it is as long as you buy it in progression

if a cleric bought Specialized Training for Divergent Spellcasting. would they be able to buy non-universal magic for normal price or 3 times the the normal price?

Rulebook says:

Quote:The CP Cost of Mana Spells for Mage Class Player Characters is the spell level.

The CP Cost of Mana Spells for other Player Character Classes is the spell level times three.

This only changes if you Dual Class as a Mage.

but it would cost 3 times per spell use bought on top of 53 cp to be able to do it... so it's not worth it for us
