I will not list every thing that has been changed, largely because I kind of lost track of all the little changes. But here are a few things that may be important right now to some people:

• You can only do one re-write per Player. Ever.
• You do not need training for each purchase of a Taught Skill. Once you have been trained in that skill, you can buy as many as you can afford.
• Obviously the Holy Ward Rite is new and very important, but there is also another new Rite.
• There is a new spell for each Specialty Priest.
• The Arm Traps Skill is modified, as are large physical traps.

I invite anyone interested to post things here that have changed. There are a lot of minor little things, so one person might not catch them all.

Eventually, we will get rid of this Rules Update forum and make a new one for the Second Edition. Which should have very few posts. (cross fingers!)

Elves can now use two handed weapons.
Fauns can now use shield but they don't like to.

Looks like they just reduced disadvantages from races.

A “Thrown” weapon cannot be used in melee combat. Thrown weapons cannot have a core.

All Melee Weapons must have a core.

You now can only re-write a Player Character once per Player, not once per Character.

After this event in March, we will enforce the rules change.

On a similar note, you can only transfer one Player Character from another game per Player. This is not a rules change, but it has come up recently and I figured I would make sure everyone is aware of it.

so will rewrites done before this event count towards the one per player rewrite, or not? I just want to make sure I understand correctly.

You can no longer exchange 10cp for 1 gold... which was my only hope. :P (long story)

Not. The new rules will be enforced for the May 2010 event.
